Safi successfully completes new expansion
Starting from early September, customers will benefit from a non-stop supply recycled water throughout the day The expansion has been operational since the beginning of September 2016
In order to improve their customer service, Safi decided to increase its production capacity of the plant by building an additional expansion, in order to ensure constant supply of recycled water 24/7 without any interruptions. non-stop.
Designed and supervised by the Safi operating team, the expansion was completed within 3 months, and involved the construction of a new ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis train, allowing for a total capacity increase of 2,000 m3/day, from 7,000 to 9,000 m3/day.
Safi is a public private partnership between the Municipality of Ajman, BESIX and Veolia. Established in 2011 in the Emirate of Ajman (UAE), Safi is the first plant in the region that brings the concept of commercialised “recycled water” fully into practice by supplying high-quality water for various industrial and commercial use applications. Safi recycles tertiary treated wastewater from the Ajman Sewage Treatment Plant, by polishing it through ultra filtration and reverse osmosis processes.
